H - I am increasingly intrigued - can you describe your guitars and banjos? I have a gold tone 5-string banjo, which is kind of halfway betwixt bluegrass and old-timey, which is approximately what I do on the banjo. And I think you also have a tin whistle? does this imply a Celtic music interest?

Thtownse: 1894 Fairbanks Imperial and 1920's Vega Tubaphone (5-string open backs); Slingerland mando-banjo; Two 1930's birdseye maple banjo-ukes, one of them probably by Martin, 1930's maple tenor banjo - no ID. 5-string banjo I play strictly in old time Round Peak clawhammer style. Guitars are a 1972 Yamaha dreadnaught with bluebird pick-guard; 1974 Yamaha classical; and a handmade rosewood 12-string purchased in Paracho, Michoacan in 1977 (maker's name eludes just now). Penny whistles - I've dozens - from Generations to Clarks, to an older tuneable brass Copeland. I compose traditional style tunes - mostly at the piano and on the whistle, but increasingly on the fiddle as well (as bowing improves!), and perform regulary in different ensembles for Irish dancers, contra and English country dances, and at festivals.
